Newport v Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight booked their playoff place with a win at newport on sunday. The meeting was run on a dreadful track which was waterlogged. The decision to run was due to the cut off date leaving no other date to run the meeting.

Chris had a day to forget after being a victim of first bend bunching and falling on the outside in the first turn. For some reason Chris was excluded and not put back in the rerun. In his next ride Chris was in 3rd when he locked and fell on the wet track. Chris was excluded but was more worried about his hurting wrist. The same wrist chris had his scaphiod pinned a few years ago. Due to not being able to grip properly Chris decided to pull out of the rest of the meeting.

Isle of Wight v Redcar

The Redcar Bears traveled down from Middlesborough on Tuesday for the return leg of their league fixture. The Isle of Wight having won away at Redcar were looking to gain the win and the bonus point from the meeting to help boost their play off bid. With Gary Havelock being held up in traffic on the M1 the Bears rode the match one man down and because of the non-appearance they had to ride three races with only three riders competing. The Islanders won the match by ten points in the end but the Bears were never far behind.

Chris had another great night collecting 8+1 from four rides on the rough tricky track. He made some good starts and took some good lines during the night and deserved his points.

Sheffield v Isle of Wight

The Islanders made the long trip up to Sheffield on Thursday for the return leg of their league fixture. The Islanders kept the score line close enough to grab the bonus point and sheffield collected the two points for the win.

Chris scored 2+1 on the fast track which wasn't bad considering he blew his big track engine to bits and had to ride his spare which clearly didn't have the power of the other engine.

The Sheffield Tigers came down to the Smallbrook Stadium on Tuesday for a Premier League meeting. The Islanders made light work of what on paper lined up to be a hard match.

Chris had a great meeting scoring paid 12 from five starts and in four of those he came from the back to pass the opposition.

In Heat 2 Chris made a cracking start and wasn't troubled pulling clear of the field throughout the race.

Heat 4 proved a great race for Chris after making the start and running for the dirt Parsons managed to get some drive up the inside and get passed Chris. Chris then chased around the outside and swooped passed the Aussie going into the 1st turn to join team mate Stoj out front.

Bad Blow For Johno

On Friday night Chris blew up his best engine. It was only on its 3rd meeting since the last service and cost Chris a lot of money. Chris now needs help in what ever way possible so he can afford to get the engine fixed for the big meetings coming up later this month.

Somerset v Isle of Wight

The Islanders traveled to Somerset on Friday night for their Premier League clash. The Islanders won the first leg and were looking for the bonus point and the win.

The Islanders put up a good fight but the Rebels were too strong in the end and won the match by two points. However the Islanders did clinch the al important Bonus point.

Chris had a bad day at the Office on Friday. In the First race he lifted from the gate but was never far behind the rebels pairing. However in Heat 4, Chris' second ride he was sitting in 2nd when Danny Warwick fell behind and the race was stopped with him excluded.

In the re-run Chris was in 3rd but lined up Ritchie Hawkins perfectly and was just starting to swoop around the outside of the rebel when Chris' engine blew up. Chris ran around the track for the remaining lap to grab the 3rd place point.

Chris then switched to his spare bike but struggled to make an impression as it wasn't fast enough for the Somerset track.
